Professional Profile - Matthew Ward
Course Leader for Electronic Music Production at dBs Institute, cutting edge music technology university. For more details about my role, or info on higher education courses visit my dBs Institute profile page

Background as a Producer and Educator
With over 30 years of experience in audio, I am an Apple Certified Trainer for Logic Pro X. Recently, I produced the #1 best-selling and ARIAS Silver award-winning audiobook "Rave New World" by Kirk Field (Bonnier Books) and recently completed "A Darker Electricity: The Origins of The Spiral Tribe." by Mark Angelo (Velocity Press)

I hold an MA in Innovation of Sound (2021) and am a qualified lecturer with numerous credentials in sound, audio production, and education. My early career includes positions at the BBC, GWR Radio, and SKY TV as an engineer. I served as studio manager for Coombeshead Studios and have collaborated with artists like MUSE, SClub 7, Alice Jemima, Luke Friend, Tom Ingoldsby (Composer of the Year), and Colin Seddon (808 State).

For the past 15 years, I have been a lecturer at dBs Institute, bringing extensive experience in music education and training. Prior to this, I taught sound engineering for 11 years at a Coombeshead Academy.

In my spare time, I run a record label and DJ under the pseudonym Matt Vinyl, and perform live modular synthesis as Sonorous Bosch. I also co-founded Kinesotronic, a company dedicated to developing musical performance tools.

Additionally, I am a beta tester for WMD, Stochastic Instruments, and Fully Wired, contributing to the development and testing of modules for the Eurorack community.
